Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a traditional technique that uses copper and ceramic tools to gently scrape the skin, promoting improved circulation and lymphatic drainage. Lotion is applied beforehand to reduce friction, ensuring a comfortable experience. Scraping continues until the tissue loosens or “sha” (petechiae) appears on the skin. After treatment, patients should keep the area clean, dry, and covered, avoiding prolonged exposure to wind, cold, and water until the sha naturally resolves.
